I myself am a very experienced Windows programmer that is fluent in C, C++, Assembly and many other languages. I started with Lattice C (before Microsoft bought them) , Watcom C, Zortech C, Borland Turbo Pascal and Turbo C, MetaWare High C with the Phar Lap DOS Extender. I have had to deal with 64K memory segmentation, Global Descriptor Tables in 80386 Protected mode programming in assembly and MMX, SSP and SSP2 programming. TSR's, Low-level DMA controller programming, ISA Drivers, PCI, AGP/GART programming. HPIB, GPIB, IEEE-488.

For the better part of the past 8 years I have been involved with Video, Audio and TCP/IP Internet applications on Windows and Unix. Most reciently with several Mutilchannel PVR application for the security industry where we can record up to 16 video cameras , compressed to disk, and stream live and recorded over the net, wireless and modem.

Even though I wrote my first DOS program in 1982 and first windows program in 1987 I still feel overwhelmed, frustrated and comfused by things in the Windows API. When at the same time I have come to know all most everything in Unix like th back of my hand. I can't help wonder what the experiance of a novice programmer must be like tring to set into windows now at this point for the first time.
It is for this reason I would like to start creating this site to explain in a comprehensive and UNIX like way , the API and Visual C++ Windows programming.

My resume I am available for projects.       Contact me at Contact Page
